Il Dr. Tosam si occupa di Bioetica, Filosofia della Medicina e Filosofia Africana e discuterà il paper allegato dal titolo

“The Biomedical and the Relational Model of the body, the Meaning of Illness, and Quality of Care: A Comparative Analysis”.

Mbih Jerome Tosam is a lecturer of Philosophy at the University of Bamenda, Cameroon. His research interests are in Bioethics, Philosophy of Medicine, and African Philosophy. Tosam is currently undertaking research at the Department of Literature and Philosophy of the University of Trento on the topic: The Biomedical and the Relational Model of the body, the Meaning of Illness, and Quality of care: A Comparative Analysis. This research seeks to examine the meaning of illness in relation to how each model, the leading Western and the predominant African, conceptualizes the patient’s body, as well as the patient’s construal of illness.
